October 28, Chicago, IL – Following months of preparation and planning, the Weber team eagerly awaited the 10:00 a.m. opening of the AMI - North Building of the AMI/Worldwide Food Expo in McCormick Place.

At last, our 16,000 sq. ft. Weber booth was completely constructed and decorated…

… Equipped with the latest in Weber’s market-leading technology, including the powerful new 905 slicer…
… and outfitted with Weber’s popular Modern Deli, ready to welcome and refresh our guests. Weber customer and Bimmy’s owner Elliot Freed generously volunteered to serve as our Modern Deli “executive chef” planning and directing his crew to deliver a delicious selection of sandwiches to AMI attendees.

Within minutes of the opening, the first of hundreds of processors, food service managers, QSR and retail suppliers and deli owners began to arrive, ready to discover Weber’s latest solutions to their processing challenges.

New Weber Twin Pick Robotics, a new log peeler and the amazing technology of our new six-lane slicer, the 905, were high on the show planners of many attendees.
In cooperation with our friends at Multivac, Weber also planned and executed a live demonstration of the Weber 604, coupled with the Multivac R245 thermoform fill-seal packaging system. Large crowds were drawn to the live, hourly demonstration, of the completely automated system that began with Weber’s Autoloader and concluded with Multivac’s labeling and automated packaging.
Simultaneously, Weber’s sales and application experts were able to visit with processors and discuss specific concerns and opportunities faced on their production lines at home.

We were pleased that the Modern Deli again served as an island of respite, allowing us to sit down for a moment and visit with so many customers, old friends and new acquaintances.

We thank all of you who came by to say hello and discover all that is new at Weber!
