On October 22-23, more than 70 industry professionals gathered in Kansas City, MO for Weber's first-ever Sanitation Symposium.
Welcomed by Scott Scriven, President and...
... led by Technical Director Norbert Muehlich, ...
...the participants invested two productive days learning from food safety experts, ...
...sharing solutions to mutual problems and building cross-company networks that they can leverage to help their company eliminate any possibilities of food borne illness.
On Day #1, knowledgeable experts, including Cristine Hurckes, Food Safety Manager, Land o Frost...
... and Doug Craven, Hormel Foods' Corporate Manager, Sanitation ....
... presented thoughts on topics ranging from Lysteria Control to the Sanitary Design Principles for RTE Processing Equipment.

Understandably, many notes were taken to facilitate knowledge shareing back home with the crews who run and sanitize Weber slicers in production plants throughout North America.

Day #2 of the Symposium was all about the nuts and bolts of Weber slicers and was greeted with much enthusiasm by the assembled participants.
Held in the Demo Room of our North American Technology Center, the accessible design that is a hallmark of Weber slicers proved to provide excellent teaching opportunities.

Weber's tool-free disassembly greatly aided the free flow of questions and answers, ...
... allowing Weber technicians to quickly open machines for visual inspection...
...and to easily demonstrate the procedures and protocols required for the safe and problem-free operation of any Weber slicer.
The outstanding attendance and high level of interest displayed by participants virtually guarantees that a second Sanitation Symposium will soon be held.
Weber is proud to be a partner in the safe and hygienic processing of the world's food supply.
